Everyday when I wake up, I'll always ask myself, what do I see myself in Five years starting today. As always, the answer is never changed, being a Musician. Despite the fact that I didn't practice much on my Drumming or Guitar, which I suck at, it's my dream that I wanted to be a Full Time Musician, from playing Gags whenever I am available to the extend of having my own Band and become famous like Avenged Sevenfold or at least Maroon 5.
But problem is that, I don't think that this is what I am really is when I look into 5 years for now, I think I'll just be a simple programmer working in either a small company or a really big ones and a guy that simple go to work everyday and pay for my bills. But despite the truth had come slapping down into my face when I think of this, I've always wanted a Drumset myself and at least Jam with my friends to experiences the fun of being in a Band.
Problem now is, I don't think getting a Drumset would be somewhere near this year because I couldn't save up any money since 87% of my allowances is used on Petrol, Tolls and lastly, to pay for my Drumming Fees. I've only left with 13% for my personal uses, I don't think I could really save up that way. Moreover, my parents did promised to get me one before August, but since they've already got my a house and as a son, I've already know that they're using expenses more than profit, I don't think I should remind them that I needed a Drumset myself.
In addition, I've been thinking this for a while, should I or should I not drop learning Drumming because I'll get more money to spend and I get to save up some money myself.

That is more to like your dream or goal in 5 years time.
You're like making it a must or forcing yourself to achieve it in 5 years time. Why don't make you make it your dream or something? So that you wouldn't feel demotivated?
Don't you think buying a drumset using your own hard earned money would bring you more satisfaction when you molest it? :D
I won't feel demotivated and stuff because that's what I wanted in 5 years time. In fact, I realized that I am not that into Computing anymore ever since I've look at those band and stuff.
Anyway, I can't buy it now because I don't even have enough money to use myself, and for my parents part, they did promised me that they'll get it for me, but I am not demanding it anymore like last time because I do know that they got alot money to spend.
If I were you I would stop drumming lessons and start saving on a drumset. Considering that you have taken basic lessons for quite some time, it wouldn't hurt to explore on your own after you get the drumset. You could also ask your cousins for help right?
As for being a musician, let's shake hands and sing songs because I share the same dream. Wuhaha, being shitty at an instrument can never stop people's dreams to become one! So it's very aaa-oookay for us to dream!
Since you have a guitar, why not work with what you have first?
I do consider stopping and saving those extra money to buy a Drumset, guess I'll try to temporary stop for 2 months first and see how much I could save first. But if I could really save up, then it's time to stop those lessons.
We've talked about Jamming together isn't it last time? LOL! It's what I wanted as well to Jamming some my friends or even random people if they don't mind my shitty skillz.
Come to think of it, I can only do Strumming for my guitar and kept doing it daily but didn't bother to learn those picking and stuff, time to explore those as well I guess.
